TAGORE CANDLES

Eon brings you a range of handmade aromatic soy candles lovingly crafted and themed around a variety of Rabindranath Tagore songs evoking emotions the Bard triggered with his words and music. His ideology that in no uncertain terms, a human’s sensory encounter with the environment must be as important as its mind’s enquiry into an inner mystery which any worthwhile society must respect and provide takes Eon to attempt to create a similar few moments that these songs bring while you light the candles.

Materials like essential oils and natural resins were used by the Egyptians to create scented candles in their times. Today using modern technology candles are made with blends of oils and different varieties of waxes for enhanced experiences of the mind-body and consciousness.

As Tagore’s songs covering the entire gamut of human emotions were broadly divided by the poet among several thematic groups – love, devotional, seasons, occasion-specific, and dance-drama compositions, Eon has made an attempt to capture these emotions and create a candle for each, themed with a matching colour and aroma as interpreted by Eon for the emotion/time by that song.
